Dress Code

Proper Attire For Stoughton Country Club

Tuesday and Friday night dining room expectations:

Hats, caps, and hoodies are prohibited.  Denim is permitted and must be free of holes, tears, and un-tattered. 

 

Recommended attire:

Men and Boys:

Dress shirts, collared golf shirts, or sport shirts with sleeves, turtlenecks, mock turtlenecks, sweaters and sweater vests, golf jackets, golf shorts, Bermuda shorts, walking shorts (mid-thigh length), traditional slacks, and khakis.  Hats and caps should be worn with the bill facing forward. 

Women and Girls:

Sleeved or sleeveless blouses, shirts or golf shirts with or without a collar, turtlenecks, mock turtlenecks, sweaters, sweater vests, jackets and golf jackets and pullovers, golf shorts, Bermuda shorts, walking shorts (mid-thigh length), golf skirts, skorts, capri pants, golf slacks, and golf dresses.  Hats and caps should be worn with the bill facing forward.

 

Unacceptable Attire:

  • T-shirts (plain, logoed, or athletic)
  • Gym shorts or workout attire
  • Cargo shorts/pants
  • Cotton collarless t-shirts
  • Basic tank tops, halter tops, or midriff tops
  • Cut-offs
  • Overalls, cargo pants, carpenter’s pants, and sweatpants
  • Excessively large or inappropriate logos on clothing
  • Micro-mini skirts (with the exception of appropriate tennis skirts used as a crossover for golf). Our standard is set by the typical length of golf shorts/skorts.

 

These are not permitted on the golf course, practice fairway, or putting green.  You will be asked to return with a collared shirt (or other appropriate attire), or you may purchase appropriate clothing from the golf shop.
